MX Instrument cable with circuit breaker is used to reduce unwanted noises like pops and squeals. It has a On/ Off operation on the connector. When the button is pushed off , the cable shorts while it is still plugged into the guitar. Once it is shorted, remove the cable from the guitar being used and plug it into another instrument. While the cable is being switched between instrument, there is no generation of popping sound which is usually seen in regular instrument connectors.
